Yesterday I had the joy of leisurely strolling through The Color Run. I am still cleaning pink color out of my ear…

We got to see the beautiful Lakefront which I haven’t been to since a breast cancer run back in 2003! Woah that was a long time ago. Weather was perfection, the crowd was enthusiastic, and the color was everywhere.

Contrary to popular belief, the color is actually dyed corn starch, meaning it is edible. And boy did I taste it and not by choice. Four stations throughout the race threw orange, blue, yellow and pink everywhere. At the end you gathered in front of the stage and threw packets of color in the air every 10 minutes. This is where I got the most color. It is unavoidable and hard to breathe for about 15 seconds afterwards. It looks a little something like this.

Blowers to attempt at getting some of the corn starch off…failed.

I had the best time!!! I was sad I couldn’t attend the LSU game but I watched it on tv as I baked ALL day. I made 2 loaves of whole wheat oatmeal bread for sandwiches. We will be diving into them today at my Granny’s house while we cook everything for Thanksgiving.
